2 arrested after allegedly throwing bags of drugs out of car during police chase

The Tulsa Police Department has arrested two people after they allegedly took off during a traffic stop and threw drugs from the car window before crashing into another car.

Tuesday evening, officers tried to pull over a car near 61st and Memorial, when it took off, spurring police on a chase.

During the chase, officers say the suspects began to throw several mags of meth and fentanyl pills out of the car windows.

The suspect lost control of the car near 72nd East Avenue and crashed through a retaining wall before hitting an unoccupied parked car.

The two suspects ran from the scene but were captured after a short pursuit. In total, more than half a pound of meth and 400 fentanyl pills were recovered.

Jesus Perez-Lopez and Marco Venegas-Gallardo were booked into the Tulsa County Jail.
