Firearms seized in a pair of police raids


The Guns and Gangs Unit was busy in Halifax last week.

Officers seized a pistol, taser, and a rifle, modified with a pistol grip, in two separate raids Thursday.

The pistol and taser were taken from a home on Claymore Avenue in Spryfield.

Natasha Irene Lee White, 26, is charged with:
-Careless use of firearm
-Unsafe storage contrary to regulations
-Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
-Unauthorized possession of a firearms
-Unauthorized possession of a prohibited device
-Possession of firearm knowing it is unauthorized
-Possession of a prohibited device knowing it is unauthorized
-Possession of a restricted firearm with ammo

Codie Kenneth Bruce Horne, 26, is charged with:
-Careless use of a firearm
-Unsafe storage contrary to regulations
-Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
-Unauthorized possession of a firearm
-Unauthorized possession of a prohibited device
-Possession of a firearm knowing it is unauthorized
-Possession of a prohibited device knowing it is unauthorized
-Possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition
-Possession of weapons contrary to a prohibition order x 2
-Breach of release order

The rifle was taken from a home on Maple Grove Ave. in Lower Sackville.

An unnamed 31-year-old Lower Sackville man is charged with:
-Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
-Possession of a Firearm while Knowing Possession Unauthorized
-Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device
-Possession of a Prohibited Device while Knowing Possession Unauthorized
-Unsafe Storage of a Firearm
-Storage of a Firearm Contrary to Regulations
-Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
