Mumbai: NCB bursts a drug trafficking syndicate in Dongi; Recovered narcotics worth 50 crore


Mumbai: Mumbai Unit of the National Narcotic Bureau (NCB) on Saturday burst a major drug trafficking syndicate from Dongi. 

As per information, NCB seized 20 kgs of Mephedrone worth Rs 50 crores in multiple search operations. The probe agency also recovered Rs 1,10,24000 cash and 186.6 grams of gold ornaments. 

Three key members of the syndicate were also arrested. 

Earlier this week, NCB busted the Pan-India Dark Net Drug Smuggling Cartel. The agency described this LSD seizure as the biggest seizure ever. Explain that LSD, or Lysergic Acid Diethylamide, is a synthetic chemical-based drug. Six accused have been arrested in the case, and 15,000 blots (pouches or packets) of LSD have been seized.

Deputy Director General of the Narcotics Control Bureau Gyaneshwar Singh said that we have arrested six people in two cases and seized 15,000 LSD drugs, which is 2.5 times the commercial quantity. Its commercial quantity is 1 gramme. It is a synthetic drug that is very dangerous. This is the biggest seizure in the last two decades.
