Almost 400 kilos of hash and weed and 1.2 tons of cash seized in Geleen

The police found 396 kilos of cannabis during a search of a building in Geleen on Wednesday. It concerns about 377 kilos of hash and more than 19 kilos of weed.

More than 120,000 euros in cash was also found in the house. A 41-year-old man from Geleen has been arrested as a suspect, the police reported Friday.

In response to an anonymous tip, agents took a closer look at the building on Oleanderstraat. The drugs and cash were found there.

All items have been confiscated.

The 41-year-old suspect from Geleen was brought before the examining magistrate on Friday. He has determined that he will remain in prison for another fourteen days.
