Police accidentally uncover ‘elaborate’ cannabis set-up in Sydney home

New South Wales police have accidentally uncovered an elaborate cannabis set-up in a Sydney home overnight.Police were responding to a call for assistance at Costata Circut, Voyager Point near Liverpool, about 10pm yesterday due to concerns for the welfare of a teenage girl.Officers entered a home through the garage door and unexpectedly walked in to find an extensive hydroponic set-up.

Rooms in the home were filled with more than 200 cannabis plants in various stages of maturity.Police arrested a man at the scene and he was taken to Liverpool Police Station.A crime scene has been established at the home. An investigation is underway into the identities of the people involved in the cultivation of the cannabis crop.
