More than $250k worth of drugs seized in Sydney’s south-west


Wads of cash were seized in various south-west Sydney properties.

Four men have been charged after more than $250,000 worth of drug s and $50,000 in cash were seized in Sydney’s south-west.NSW Police have been investigating the large scale supply of methylamphetamine across the city’s south-west.

They have so far seized more than 400 grams of methylamphetamine between October 2021 and April 2022 which is estimated to have a street value of more than $250,000.

A series of search warrants were carried out at properties in Guildford, Milperra, Bass Hill and Merrylands yesterday. At Milperra, police found $42,000 in cash, cannabis, and luxury clothing, jewellery, watches and handbags. At the property a 31-year-old man was arrested and taken to Bankstown Police Station where he now faces a range of charges.

At Guildford, police found $10,000 in cash, methylamphetamine, cannabis and electronic items. Police arrested a 19-year-old man who was also taken to Bankstown Police Station where he was charged. At Bass Hill, various amounts of cocaine, Oxycodone and cannabis were found as well as prescription medication, vials of steroids, and cash.

A 23-year-old man was arrested at the property and taken to Granville Police Station where he was charged. The three men were refused bail and will appear at court today.

At Merrylands, police found more methylamphetamine, LSD, and cash and arrested a 40-year-old man. He was charged at Granville Police Station but was granted conditional bail to appear at court today.
