The man then continued through the roundabout in his now-damaged Holden Cruze, side-swiping another vehicle driven by a 60-year-old man. After exiting the roundabout, police said the 45-year-old crashed into a fourth vehicle waiting at a traffic light, driven by a 27-year-old man. Neither the 27-year-old or 60-year-old were injured. “The Cruze then allegedly drove onto the wrong side of Logan Street and sped through a service station, before side-swiping a power-pole,” a police statement read.

Police said the man kept driving before stopping at a barrier. It’s alleged he then exited the car armed with a machete and verbally abused witnesses who had come to help him. “It will be alleged that the man then dropped the machete before retrieving a wallet and scissors from the Cruze and ran on foot,” police said.
