Drugs worth Rs 247 crore seized at Mumbai airport, were being brought to India for the new year


Along with the Airport Intelligence Unit, DRI officers also played a key role in catching drugs. In this case so far 1 young man and a girl from Zimbabwe have been taken into custody.

The Airport Intelligence Wing of Customs has caught drugs worth about Rs 247 crore at Mumbai International Airport.

This whole drug is heroin, which was being brought to Mumbai in a consignment of 30 kg.

There was a plan to take these drugs by air to Mumbai and beyond Mumbai to tourist points and destinations by road.

This heroin drug was to be used in different states in New Year celebrations and Christmas parties.

Actually, the airport AIU is engaged in the investigation of the case, especially who were its beneficiary, to which the net of this drugs syndicate has spread.
