Car riddled with Kalashnikovs in Marseille triple liquidation

Three men were shot dead in a car in the southern French city of Marseille on Saturday night. Five people were in the vehicle and had just left a nightclub when they were fired upon with Kalashnikov’s. Two people managed to get away in time, as well as the fugitive gunmen.

The police assume a settlement in the drug environment. Marseille, the second largest city in France, has been experiencing a wave of drug violence for months. The number of drug-related homicides in Marseille stands at 21 so far this year.

Last night’s shooting took place in a residential area in Marseille. The car carrying the five men – all in their twenties – was shot at shortly after they left a nightclub around 5am. The five would be known to the police and live in a neighborhood where drug crime is widespread.

A car was found on fire near the crime scene, presumably the gunman’s getaway car. A manhunt is underway for the perpetrators.
